Gregory S. Weinstein, MD, FACS
Gregory S. Weinstein, MD, FACS, is the Founding Member and Associate Director of the center for Head and Neck Cancer, at the University of Pennsylvania Medical Center in Philadelphia Pennsylvania and has an international reputation for expertise in organ preservation for cancers involving the voice box. Dr. Weinstein was the first surgeon in the Untied States to perform the voice box preserving surgery, the Supracricoid Partial Laryngectomy and has been the primary instructor of this procedure nationally. Dr. Weinstein in the author of more than 80 peer reviewed medical articles. His book entitled Organ Preservation Surgery for Laryngeal Cancer provides a guide for clinicians utilizing surgery to save the voice box. Between 1993 and 2001, Dr. Weinstein has given over 50 invited lectures to institutions both nationally and internationally. Dr. Weinstein has a particular interest in minimally invasive laser resection of laryngeal cancer and other cancers of the mouth and throat. His other clinical interest include salivary gland tumors and thyroid tumors.
Harry Quon, MD, MS (CRM)
Harry Quon, MD, MS (CRM) is an Assistant Professor of Radiation Oncology at the Abramson Cancer Center of the University of Pennsylvania. He specializes in the use of radiation therapy to treat head and neck malignancies.
Katrina Claghorn, MS, RD
Katrina Claghorn, MS, RD is a registered dietitian at the Abramson Cancer Center of the University of Pennsylvania Before specializing in oncology Katrina worked in medical nutrition and with patients with eating disorders. Since 1995 she has specialized in oncology nutrition. She now works as an outpatient dietitian in her role as the nutritionist for the Abramson Cancer Center of the University of Pennsylvania. She is also a section editor on nutrition and diet for OncoLink.
Kendra Schaefer, DMD
Kendra Schaefer, DMD, is Assistant Professor in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Division of Prosthodontics at the University of Pennsylvania.
Lora Packel MS, PT
Lora Packel MS, PT an Assistant Professor at the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia. Her special area of interest is working with patients after high dose chemotherapy and/or bone marrow transplantation. She works with Head and Neck cancer patients before, during and after treatment with the ultimate goal of increasing quality of life through exercise.
Pinaki R. Dutta, MD, PhD
Pinaki R. Dutta, MD, PhD is a resident in the Department of Radiation Oncology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. His interests include taking care of patients with head and neck malignancies and managing side effects of their treatments.
